Andrew Hem live at the L.A. Art Show

If you dropped by the L.A. Art Show last year, you may have noticed the Vox Humana exhibit— several massive canvases set up in the northeast corner of the convention center, with works-in-progress by Retna, El Mac, Mear and Kofie. This year, Andrew Hem and Shark Toof will be live painting massive 12x12-foot canvases at the convention, which runs through January 23rd.

Here are a few photos of Andrew's painting being started at last night's opening gala. Make sure to check the hours of the Vox Humana exhibit to coordinate your visit to the convention with the live painting exhibition!

While you're there, make sure to drop by the Arcadia Gallery booth to check out a new painting by Aron Wiesenfeld!

Update: You can check out my photos from the next four days of the mural's progress at Daily du Jour.
