Andrew Hem's Transitory Landscapes

Fast on the heels of his recent New York debut, Andrew Hem will be exhibiting a selection of his wonderful sketchbook landscape paintings at the Art San Diego Contemporary Art Fair, which runs from September 2nd through the 5th. While traveling around the world, Andrew has paused time and again to sketch a scene in gouache, fixing it into his memory with a depth of atmosphere and emotion to which no snapshot can aspire.
